Sugpo or prawns are a popular ingredient in Filipino cuisine. One of the most delicious and simple ways to cook it is to grill them. Here’s a recipe for Grilled Sugpo:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of sugpo or prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (if using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the prawn to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Cover the bowl and marinate the prawn in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the prawn onto skewers, making sure they are secure.
  6. Place the prawn skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through.
