Here’s a recipe for this flavorful and creamy dish:

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg fish, cleaned and sliced
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 thumb-sized ginger, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2-3 pieces green chili pepper
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pot and sauté the onion, ginger, and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add the fish and cook for a few minutes until lightly browned.
  3. Add the coconut milk, green chili pepper, vinegar, and fish sauce.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for around 15-20 minutes or until the fish is cooked and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice and enjoy your creamy and delicious Ginataan!
