Beef Cubes or Cube Steak are made from various tough cuts of beef, including chuck, shoulder or bottom round. It is processed in a way that helps create a more tender piece of meat. To improve the tenderness of these cuts, a mechanical tenderizer is used to create square-like holes that cut right through the meat. Beef cubes and dice are most suitable for casseroling, stewing or braising.
