Enjoy this simple and delicious Grilled Bangus:
Ingredients:
- 1 large Bangus (milkfish), gutted and scaled
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup calamansi juice (or lemon juice)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions:
- Clean the Bangus thoroughly, making sure it is scaled and gutted. Or buy your boneless bangus from us for a thoroughly cleaned, scaled and gutted fish. Cut slits on both sides of the fish.
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, calamansi juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ground black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Place the Bangus in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Make sure the marinade coats the fish well, including the slits.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and marinate the Bangus in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan on medium-high heat. Brush the grill or pan with cooking oil.
- Remove the Bangus from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Grill the Bangus for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until cooked through. Use a spatula to carefully flip the fish.
- Once cooked, remove from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve hot with steamed rice and your choice of dipping sauce. Enjoy the delicious and succulent taste of grilled Bangus!
